Well done to all pupils taking part in the recent fixtures, plate and cup games. Some notable mentions over the past few weeks include:
- Girls’ 1st XI Hockey won the Millie Quaich which is played in memory of Hayley Macmillan who worked at both St George’s and George Heriot’s PE departments. The girls won 6-0 with some fantastic goals on show.
- On Saturday 16th Nov, GHS had its first Girls’ Rugby fixture and defeated Robert Gordon’s High School (10-9)
- Boys’ 1st XV Rugby defeated Robert Gordons’s College (21-12) and S1A won against Robert Gordon’s College (63-47).
- Our newly relaunched S1-3 Girls Football participated in the Edinburgh Schools Tournament at Broughton High School.
- U15 Boys Basketball won against Queensferry High School away (34-27) and Leith Academy 48-44.
- The Senior School Cross Country Team had their largest turn out at the East District Cross Country Club League Race in Dundee on Saturday and had a number of strong performances ahead of the East District Championships.

- Good luck to the 50+ rowers taking part at the Scottish Schools Indoor Rowing Championships at Fettes on Friday 22nd Nov.
- U16 Rugby in their Scottish Bowl Semi Final against Lomond School at Goldenacre on Saturday 23rd Nov.
- Weekend matches against Stewart Melville for Rugby and Dollar and EA for Hockey.
