Senior School Sports Bulletin

Well done to everyone who took part in our recent fixtures and extra-curricular sports. Some notable mentions:

  • At the Scottish School Swim Championship Finlay Duffin (S2) won bronze medal in the 200m Butterfly. Rosie Forster (S5) won silver medal in the 200m backcrawl and bronze in the 100m backcrawl.
  • Amy Clark, Amy Edgar, Daniel Smith and Zack Sangster (all S5) have been selected to represent the Scotland Emerging team at the 4 Nations Tournament Easter Weekend.
  • Tallulah McMorris (S6) and Jess Garden (S5) were chosen to represent the Scottish Aspiring team in the 4 Nations Tournament this Easter Weekend.
  • Girls’ 1st XI Hockey were semi-finalists in the U18 Scottish Hockey Cup.
  • U13 Rugby won the shield at the Edinburgh Academy 7s Tournament on 24th Feb.
  • Thirty S3 and S4 Rowers competed in the Inverness Head Race on Saturday 2nd March. S3 Girls’ Quad got their first ever win in the Novice Quad race.
  • Lottie Wardrop S4 gained selection for the Junior Inter-Regional Team where she will race for the Scottish U16 Rowing Team.
  • U18 Rugby won the plate at the Glasgow Academy 7’s Tournament on 2nd March.
  • U18 Rugby were semi-finalists of Morrison Academy U18 Rugby 7’s Tournament on Wednesday 6th March.
  • Strong performances from the Cross-Country runners at the Scottish Senior School Cross Country Championships at Hopetoun House.
  • Great tennis from the Girls YR 11-13 who competed with Strathallan School.
  • S1A Boys Hockey competed in their first tournament at Strathallan 7’s.
